Big girl, you are beautiful

Some days Josie tries to convince me that she is a big girl. I normally don't believe her, but today I did! After she woke up from her morning nap (she is back to 2 since daylight savings!) we went to the kitchen to get a snack. She chose a banana but didn't want to sit in her chair. She wanted to sit in Daddy's chair. So I let her sit there. She looked like a such a grown up! I thought it was too cute not to take a picture. She also wanted Floppy her bunny to sit with her, but I told her he would get all yucky with banana so he could just watch her while she ate. She thought this was very funny and the entire time kept looking up at Floppy and laughing. What a funny, big girl!

Baby Bumblebee

We had a fun Halloween. Josie surprised us by actually wearing her costume and enjoying it. We went trick-or-treating to both of our parents house and also to a church activity. Josie's favorite part of Halloween was probably the sucker she got. Her hands and face ended up very sticky and she couldn't have been happier!

Walking Video

As promised, here is the walking video. It was taken over a week ago so she is already so much better. She still loves to hold Daddy's hand, but I can't really fault her for that since I do too. Enjoy!

Fah who for-aze, Dah who dor-aze, Welcome Christmas!

Okay, maybe I am a bit too early to be welcoming Christmas. But last night I took Josie's hair out of it's ponytail and guess what I saw? Why, it was Cindy Loo Hoo!!

I have been SO good about not celebrating Christmas early this year. Usually I am ready by my birthday. I think last year at this time we were working on a Christmas puzzle and drinking hot chocolate while watching "It's A Wonderful Life", and that was in Dallas where the temps were still in the 70s! I have yet to watch "It's A Wonderful Life" this year, even though it is my all time favorite, and I try to only listen to Christmas music when Scott isn't home. Josie just loves when Judy Garland sings "Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas", or maybe that is me...anyway, starting Sunday I am going to be in full Christmas mode. No decorations yet, but just try to stop me from watching movies and listening to music!

P.S. I just finished reading "The Best Christmas Pageant Ever" while curled up on the couch sipping hot chocolate. Bring on the Christmas season! Oh yeah, and I am about to setup a Christmas village Scott's mom found for us just to get Scott excited for the holiday festivities when he gets home tonight!

Strict Joy

I just bought this album from iTunes and I am in love again with this great band.

Swell Season, best thing to ever happen to the music industry. Now the question is whether or not I will be able to listen to it and NOT go to their concert when they are HERE in my home town and I am elsewhere over Thanksgiving. They should have contacted me before they set their concert dates. Swell Season is definitely our family's favorite band ever. Josie even went to their concert before she was born when I was pregnant with her. You know how they say babies can hear music in the womb? We tend to think her going to this concert is what made her so cool. Anyway, do yourself a huge favor and listen to some of their music. If your lucky, your baby could end up cool like this:

Walking on Sunshine

That's right, Josie can walk. After many months of encouragement by her parents (and threats that she wouldn't get Halloween candy if she wasn't walking by Halloween) she decided it was time. And in a usual Josie fashion, she made up her mind and put all of her effort into it and within a couple of days has become an official walker. It is so fun to see how proud she is of herself. She still likes to crawl occasionally and LOVES to hold Daddy's hand and walk around, but she is great walking on her own. Also, she gave up on her morning nap. Here is to a lot more tired Mommy during the day!

P.S. I do have some video of her walking, but I don't have the right connection on my computer. Hopefully I can get it uploaded soon!

It's a...BABY!

We had our ultrasound appointment last week. Much to our dismay, little baby had its legs crossed the entire time and made it very difficult to determine the gender. We were told that it is "probably" a boy, but they are not sure. We will be waiting another couple of weeks for our next appointment to try again. The good news is that the baby is healthy and everything is going well. Oh yeah, and "he" has a huge head just like sweet Josie. Here's to another couple of weeks of waiting!
